What Daxxify is approved for

Glabellar (frown) lines in adults (2022). A separate approval (2023) covers cervical dystonia, a medical condition.

When Dr. Toma reaches for Daxxify

  • In the SAKURA phase 3 trials, the median duration of effect for frown lines was about 24 weeks. Some patients lost the effect sooner and some later, so planning is individual.
  • Formulated with a stabilizing peptide (RTP004) rather than human serum albumin, which some patients prefer.
  • Dosed on its own scale: 40 Daxxify units for the glabella. Units are not interchangeable with any other brand, and we never convert a dose.
