Dermal fillers & facial balancing in Naples, FL

Hyaluronic acid fillers for the cheeks, chin, jawline, temples and folds, planned by proportion and written down first by Dr. Irina Toma, DDS, a Florida-licensed dentist (FL Lic. DN25459). Each gel is matched to the area it is approved for, and hyaluronic acid can be dissolved with hyaluronidase. Filler restores support; it does not replace surgery.

What dermal fillers do

Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a sugar molecule your skin already makes. As a cross-linked gel it adds volume where bone and fat have receded, supports tissue that has drifted, and defines edges such as the jawline and chin. Because HA binds water, treated skin can also look more hydrated.

Dr. Toma plans filler the way she plans a smile: proportions first. A chin that is a few millimetres short changes how the lips and nose read; a weak jawline makes the neck look older than it is. Small, well-placed amounts across several points usually do more than a large amount in one.

All HA fillers are reversible with hyaluronidase.

On-labelFDA approval is product-by-product and area-by-area, with an age limit on each label (21 and older, or 22 and older). The table below lists the approved areas for the main gels. Using a gel outside its label is off-label and is called that in your plan. Verified Oct 2026.

Which filler is on-label for which area?

Different gels for different tissue. Firmer gels support cheek, chin and jaw; softer gels sit in lips and fine lines. Match the gel to the labeled area, not to the brand name.

Label areas from the research report's FDA matrix and manufacturer labeling, verified Oct 2026. No hyaluronic acid filler is approved for the nose or forehead. Which gels are in stock is confirmed at consultation.

Facial balancing

A plan across two to four points (often chin, jawline and cheek) in small amounts, so the face reads as proportionate rather than any one feature reading as filled. "Facial balancing" is a plan, not an FDA indication: each point still uses a product approved for that area, or is called off-label.

Reversibility

Every HA filler we use dissolves with hyaluronidase. This is quoted separately and is rarely needed.

Areas and planning amounts

Planning estimates, not label doses. Your written plan lists product and syringes per area.

AreaPlanning amountStatus
Cheeks and midface1 to 2 syringesOn-label
Chin1 to 2 syringesOn-label
Jawline2 to 4 syringesOn-label
Nasolabial folds1 syringeOn-label
Temples1 to 2 syringesOn-label
Marionette lines1 syringeOff-label

One syringe is usually 1 mL; check the syringe label for the product used. Off-label areas are consented separately, and results vary.

How much does filler cost in Naples, and what is one syringe?

One syringe of hyaluronic acid filler is usually 1 mL, so half a syringe is 0.5 mL and two syringes are 2 mL, placed in one area or split across points such as chin, jawline and cheek. We do not publish a dollar fee on this page, so questions such as whether $400 is a good lip-filler price or what two syringes cost cannot be answered with a number here.

A written quote lists the product, the milliliters for each area, the minimum fee and the dates it is in effect before anything is placed. Compare quotes by product and volume, not by the dollar total alone.

Who it is for

A good fit if
  • Flattening of the cheeks or hollowing at the temples
  • A chin or jawline that does not support the face in profile
  • Folds and lines that stay at rest
  • You want changes a friend would not be able to name
Not for you if
  • Pregnant or breastfeeding (safety is not established)
  • Active infection, cold sore or acne at the site
  • History of severe allergy or anaphylaxis
  • Autoimmune disease in flare, or recent dental work (two weeks)
What it can't do
  • Lift loose skin the way surgery does
  • Replace volume lost to significant weight loss in one visit
  • Improve skin texture or pores; see collagen stimulators and regenerative

How much does filler cost?

Pricing is per syringe and varies by product. Your written quote lists the product, syringes per area, the total, the minimum fee and the dates it is in effect before anything is placed. Facial balancing plans commonly use several syringes, sometimes split across two visits so the result is built gradually. The two-week review is part of the plan.

Prices are confirmed at consultation and stated with their effective dates. Any offer carries its start and end dates. How pricing works.

Risks and side effects

Common: swelling, tenderness, bruising for up to a week, small lumps that settle. Uncommon: asymmetry addressed at review, prolonged swelling, delayed nodules. Rare but serious: hyaluronic acid filler labeling warns that injection into a blood vessel can cause vascular occlusion, with vision impairment, blindness, stroke or skin necrosis. Blanching, severe pain or a change in vision needs emergency care at once.

Full informed consent is reviewed before treatment. Tell us about blood thinners, recent vaccines, dental work and previous permanent fillers.

Questions about dermal filler

Not when placed for structure in small amounts. Puffiness comes from too much product in soft tissue. Dr. Toma uses firmer gels on bone where the label allows, so they support rather than fill.

Juvéderm, Restylane, RHA and Revanesse. The product is matched to the area and your tissue, and the approved areas for each are in the table above.

Juvéderm Voluma XC, Restylane Defyne and Restylane Lyft (2025) are approved for chin augmentation in adults over 21. Jawline definition is a separate approval, held by Juvéderm Volux XC among the hyaluronic acid gels.

We do not publish a per-syringe fee, so a two-syringe total cannot be stated here. Two syringes is usually 2 mL. Your written quote names the product, the milliliters per area, the minimum fee and the dates it is in effect.

Only specific gels: Juvéderm Volbella XC, Restylane Eyelight and Belotero Balance (+) (over 21) and RHA Redensity Eye (22 and older). Any other filler under the eye is off-label. See the under-eye page for how this is decided.

It varies by product, area and person. Cheek, chin and jawline products tend to last longest, often 12 to 18 months; nasolabial folds and lips about 9 to 12 months.

Hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved with hyaluronidase, usually in one or two sessions.

It is a labeled risk, though rare. Hyaluronic acid filler labeling warns that injection into a blood vessel can cause vascular occlusion, including vision impairment, blindness, stroke or skin necrosis. Blanching, severe pain or any vision change needs emergency care at once.

Filler adds volume immediately; Sculptra stimulates your own collagen over months. For broad volume loss we often combine them.
